๐Ÿ’กWhat is Rescript?

Rescript turns transcript editing into the main video-editing interface. After importing a video or audio file, the application transcribes it locally with word-level timestamps and speaker labels. Deleting words from the transcript removes the corresponding media, so editors can cut talking-head footage without hunting through the timeline. It can also import SRT, VTT or JSON transcripts and export video, audio, subtitles, transcripts and NLE timelines for Resolve, Premiere and Final Cut through AAF. The project is privacy focused because media processing happens on the device. It is particularly useful for interviews, podcasts, tutorials and other speech-heavy content. It is more specialized than a conventional editor, but that specialization makes it valuable for fast transcript-driven workflows.
